Reading Shakespeare
Thursday, February 2nd, 2012
The other day I was lounging around my apartment reading some Shakespeare when I got a call from my sister. She told me that she needed to buy a bunch of party products and that she needed my help. She said that she didn’t want to go to the store all by herself, because she said that every time she does this she feels like a loser and gets hit on by every single guy she sees. I told her that she needs to be more assertive and confident when she’s out in the world, so that she doesn’t have to deal with these kinds of jerks all the time. As we were picking up a bunch of novelty hats I tried to convey these things to her, but she didn’t want to hear it.
My sister is really sweet but she’s also very stubborn, so sometimes it’s impossible to talk to her. I was trying to get her to purchase some of the cheaper items that she was looking for, but she’s also the kind of person who likes to spend way too much money on things that don’t really matter. She ended up buying these really expensive party hats, which I told her were an incredible waste of money.
